How is a Shot Pin Used?
Shot pins are used to locate sheet metal and plastic parts during the assembly process. After the assembly process the shot pin retracts to allow easy part removal or automatic transfer. Anti Rotate shot pins are load bearing anti rotate cylinders. In automotive applications they are compatible with NAMMS pins, L Blocks and shims. Shot pins have multiple uses as anti-rotate cylinders to replace dual rod thrusters in a compact and high precision form.
