What is a Shot Pin?
Shot pins are also known as retractable locating pins. They are used in High Speed sheet metal assembly. Shot pins are usually loaded in the extended position then retracted for part transfer. Popular styles have precision anti rotate features that allow shims or ‘L’ blocks to be mounted to the RAM near the locating pin. The ASP 24 has 24mm square ram with a 50mm bore cylinder. The ASP 34 has a 34mm square ram with a 63mm bore cylinder. Please choose one below based on your application.
The ASP (Air Shot Pin) 24 is a 24mm shot pin. The ASP 24 is used in applications with small material. These are applications where ASP 24’s are used.
